Yesterday, we talked about stopping a buyer’s remorse before it even starts. Today, talk on locking in orders & reviews, without sounding desperate!

Day 5: Locking in Repeat Orders & Reviews (Without Sounding Desperate)

You know, the great brands don’t just ask customers to buy again. They make it inevitable.

How?

  1. Reorder triggers: If your product runs out in 30 days, send a reminder on day 25. Easy.

  2. Urgency without being cringe: “We saved your exclusive reorder discount for 48 hours” feels more natural than “BUY NOW OR ELSE”

  3. Ask for a review when they’re hyped: The perfect time to ask for a review? Right when they’ve used the product and love it. Not weeks later, or not BEFORE they’ve even received the product (this is the worst!!!)

  4. Referrals done right: Instead of begging for shares, make it worth their while: “Love your [product]? Share it with a friend & you both get $10 off”

  5. Subscription upsells: If your product is consumable, make reordering a no-brainer. If it’s not, introduce them to a next-level upgrade!

The brands that crush retention don’t always spam customers with “BUY MORE” emails. They know they’ve gotta guide them toward the next purchase naturally.

By timing these emails and texts right, you’re not only making more sales, you’re also turning one-time buyers into lifelong customers.
