Your Ad Budget Is Leaking. Here’s How to Plug the Holes

Sai Teja - Paid Ads Expert

Most brands think scaling means spending more.

Wrong.

Scaling means spending smarter—and that starts with testing smarter.

You don’t scale losing ads. You scale winners.
You don’t guess what works. You test to find out.
You don’t let Meta decide. You control the process.

The brands crushing it in 2025 aren’t running more ads—they’re running better tests.

That’s what we’re covering in The Winning Ad Workshop on March 19:
The exact 5-phase testing framework we used to cut CPA from $65 to $30.
How to eliminate bad ads fast and scale only what’s working.
100 Ad Headlines, 11 Plug & Play Primary Texts, 54 Ad Templates—yours to use instantly.

Day 4: Stopping Buyer’s Remorse Before It Starts

Ibrahim - DTC Growth & Retention

Yesterday, we talked about the perfect moment to ask for engagement. Today, let’s dig into why stopping a buyer’s remorse is extremely important before it even start..all this, proactively!

Post-Purchase Series

Day 4: Stopping Buyer’s Remorse Before It Starts

Buyer’s remorse is real, especially for higher ticket items. The excitement fades, and suddenly, doubts starts creeping in—“Did I really need this?” “Was this the right choice?”, and iif you don’t step in at the right time, those doubts turn into refunds, returns, and “I changed my mind” emails.

How to prevent this:

  1. Remind them why they’re going to love this: People want reassurance. The second-guessing starts fast, so a well-timed email like “You’re going to love this—here’s why” helps keep the excitement alive. Use this space to:

    • Highlight a cool benefit they may not have realized yet

    • Share a quick customer review that reinforces their choice

    • Add a fun fact or unique feature that gets them looking forward to the product’s arrival

  2. Answer common concerns before they arise: If your support inbox is filled with “Is this normal?” or “How do I use it?” emails, then you already know what customers worry about. Get ahead of it:

    • If setup is tricky, send a simple “First things first” email with step-by-step guidance

    • If your product has a break-in period, tell them what to expect

    • If there’s a learning curve, provide a video or cheat sheet that makes things easier

  3. Give them an instant win: The longer they wait without engagement, the more room there is for regret. Get them doing something now to feel good about their purchase.

    • If it’s skincare: “Here’s how to prep your skin so you get the best results when your order arrives”

    • If it’s coffee: “Try this brewing method so you’re ready to test it with your new beans”

    • If it’s fitness gear: “Do this quick test to set up your new routine before your package lands”

  4. Catch potential problems early: The best way to prevent returns is to check in before they even think about one. A simple “How’s everything so far?” email or SMS can dodge small frustrations before they turn into major disappointments. You can:

    • Ask them to reply with any issues they’re facing

    • Offer easy access to support so they feel taken care of

Alright folks, that’s it for today. I’ll see you tomorrow, in Day 5’s issue, and that will conclude this 5-day week long series!
