Day 2: The ‘Next-Level Customer’ Play – Getting Them Hooked Early
Okay, they just hit buy, and the excitement is fresh. But here’s where most brands mess up—they go quiet. No follow-up, no engagement, just silence until the package arrives. That’s a waste of prime real estate. This is your shot to take that excitement and make them love y before they even touch the product. You need to keep that energy rolling.
What happens next?
Set up the “what’s next” moment: Give them something to look forward to. Maybe it’s a pro tip, an exclusive perk, or a sneak peek of how to get the most out of their order. This will help bridge the gap between excitement and delivery.
Make them feel like an insider: Drop a “since you’re now a customer, you get this…” email. It could be:
VIP early access to future product drops
A behind-the-scenes look at how their order is being packed
An invite to your private community where they can engage with other customers
Introduce a “Pro Move” they can take right now: Instead of waiting for their package to arrive, give them something they can do now to maximize their purchase. Example:
If they bought skincare: “Want glowing skin even before your package arrives? Here’s a simple pre-routine to start today.”
If they bought coffee: “Your beans are on the way—now’s the perfect time to clean your grinder for the freshest brew!”
Start planting the next product idea: Instead of waiting for them to think, “What should I buy next?” you do it for them. Example:
“Most customers who bought [product] also swear by [related product]—here’s why.”
“Since you just got [product], here’s a next level upgrade that takes things even further.”
How to deliver this?
Email subject line: "[Name], here’s the secret to getting the most out of your [product name]"
SMS: "Your [product name] is on the way! 🚀 In the meantime, here’s a pro tip to get ready for it: [quick tip]. More coming soon!"
Such emails keeps them engaged, keeps the excitement high, and naturally sets them up for what comes next—without forcing another sale down their throat. You can obviously get a lot more creative with these emails & SMS’es.
