WHAT’S HOT ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Data says, over 85% of the customers look for reviews before making a purchase and if you don’t have any, that’s sad because you’re going to pretty much lose all of that traffic you just got to your website with paid ads or organic effort.

If you don’t have any reviews on your website yet, please get them up and running ASAP. You can use a tool such as Okendo for this, who have excellent customer support as well!

Your "Target Customer" isn't always your actual customer/user.

I read this thread a while ago and bookmarked it as soon as I read it.

As Marketers, we often celebrate a small spike in numbers, thinking we've done a great job.

But what if I told you, it could be a case of misattributed sales?

IBRAHIM’S NUGGETS

Your PDP isn’t working, and here’s why you should build a LP

Heyy, so I get these questions all the time:

  • Why do I need to use landing pages if I'm running to my PDP?

  • My ads are doing ok. We just run the traffic to the PDP - is that fine?

Yes, you're running to a PDP and experiencing a 1% to 3% conversion rate... but wouldn't you spend more and scale quicker if you were converting at a 6% conversion rate?

There are a couple main reasons why landing pages are significantly better than running to a product page. I'm going to outline them here for you:

1. The curation of the page

When you are driving traffic to a product page, you're driving (likely) prospecting traffic to a page that immediately focuses on selling. Have you ever gotten on a call with a salesperson and the first thing they say is "YOU CAN BUY THIS RIGHT NOW OR SUBSCRIBE FOR A CHEAPER OPTION!" Probably not... sales would die right there. You also wouldn't show up to a date and immediately say, "Should we just skip all this and go back to my place?" So, why are you doing that with your potential customers?

Everyone loves to talk about building a "brand", but are you really building a "brand" if you're just sending people to a PDP right from their first touch with your brand? Probably not.

Instead, with a landing page, you can curate the information someone sees, depending on the traffic source they are coming from. If someone is coming from Meta ads, they might see a page that allows for more time and education.

If someone is coming from TikTok, you might want to be quicker with giving the punchline of the information and collecting first-party data.

2. The Education

Product pages often have no real educational components to them. So unless the brand is well-known, your product page does a poor job teaching people why you're different, what the problem is that you solve, or why someone should trust you in the first place.

3. The Angle

The last major component that PDPs really lack is the ability to create a page that feels catered to the reason you're on the landing page in the first place.

Sure, your PDP can mention some of the benefits of your product, but having a landing page where you can quickly swap the copy out at the top, and change it to match the ad creative, or the audience you're targeting.
