#1 - 📈 Boost conversions by improving your branding

📰 TL;DR - In the ever-evolving world of e-commerce, standing out is more crucial than ever. To boost sales, businesses should focus on refining their branding, ad creatives, and landing pages. And businesses don't need to break the bank by hiring a full-time graphic designer. Instead you can use a design service like Delesign and tap into a pool of top-tier design talents. These services ensure your brand visuals are always on point and know how to convert visitors into customers.

💡 Insight - Think of your brand as the storefront of your online shop. If it doesn't resonate or appeal to your target audience, they might just scroll past. A compelling ad creative can stop a potential customer in their tracks, and a well-designed landing page can seal the deal. With Delesign, businesses get access to high-quality designs without the hefty price tag. It's like having an in-house designer but without the commitment. In a world where first impressions matter, ensuring your brand visuals are top-notch can be the difference between a sale and a missed opportunity. And with the rise of innovative tools, it's clear that the e-commerce landscape is all about giving power and choice to the consumer. Make sure your brand is ready to rise to the occasion.

#2 - 🤖 AI tools take over e-comm

📰 TL;DR - This year has seen AI tools become the norm rather than the exception on e-commerce platforms. Amazon, eBay, and Shopify have all introduced AI tools, especially ones to help you write compelling product listings in just a few clicks. Generally, these are generative AI tools, which is the type of AI that’s the buzziest right now. Amazon’s product listing writing tool, for example, is pretty smart. You feed it some basic information like a name and dimensions and it can do the rest, like identifying the size of something and being smart enough to call it “small.” Shopify of course has released a full suite of AI tools with Shopify Magic.

💡 Insight - The major benefit of these AI tools is that e-commerce merchants are no longer going to have to be expert copywriters. One of the core skills of running an e-commerce business has been being able to write carefully-crafted product descriptions that are both exciting and able to convert. Judging by the reviews so far, these tools seem to be pretty good at doing that all on their own. I will add that these tools don’t tend to vary in tone very much so if your branding is particularly unique, it’s a good idea to write in a little more that’s in line with your brand’s voice.

#3 - 🤔 Amazon ads > Google ads?

📰 TL;DR - This piece from Search Engine Land makes the case that Amazon Ads are even better than Google Ads for e-commerce brands. The author says Amazon Ads are underutilized, yet offer many benefits, like the fact that Amazon search comprises 54% of all product-related searches in the US. He also argues that while Google ads reach a wider audience, Amazon ads reach a targeted audience that’s more prepared to buy. As well, Amazon ads have higher conversion rates, have great attribution and tracking, and drive ranking. Click for all five reasons.

💡 Insight - Honestly, this is pretty persuasive. Especially given that we’re now entering the most competitive time of year for Google Ads. If you’re on Amazon, it’s certainly something to consider with Black Friday—Cyber Monday on the horizon. One thing to consider is that Amazon charges a percentage sale commission, which can vary. That may impact which ad platform is better for your ROI, although the author here still says Amazon wins.

#5 - 📆 Retail conferences to mark in your calendar

📰 TL;DR - Here’s an early roundup of next year’s slate of retail conferences. Some are definitely skewed to big retail brands, like NRF’s Retail’s Big Show, but others, like the Etail series, are tailored to e-commerce. Others, like Shoptalk, are more about the technology behind commerce. No matter the target audience, these events always have speakers from major brands.

💡 Insight - There are a ton of advantages to these conferences. The first big one of course is finding retail partners if that’s the direction you’re heading in. But even not, it’s a chance to learn about the latest innovations in commerce and hear from the top minds in the field. These descriptions are brief, so do a little more research to see if one or more of these events could benefit you.
