Hey guys!

“Nothing will work unless you do.”

Let’s get into it👇

Omi

R.I.P traditional product photography?

Modern marketers are done setting up lights, hauling heavy equipment & blacking out curtains. Big and small brands are done paying an average of $200 (!) per finished photo. They spent THOUSANDS and waited WEEKS for a few dozen pictures with unpredictable quality and lackluster visuals. Once those photos are taken, they’re set in stone. Or are they ?

Now with Omi.so, and the Virtual Photo Studio you can expect:

💸 90% slashed photo budget

🕒 Packshots, bundles, and banners done in MINUTES (not weeks)

🎨 Full creative control and guaranteed brand adherence

Omi.so creates a photorealistic 3D version of your products, which you then drag-and-drop in a virtual studio setting.

Q&A’s WITH IBRAHIM

Heyy!

Every Friday, the entire newsletter is usually focused on answering the questions that our readers have, and we do this in order to make our newsletter engaging, so the readers get a chance to ask their questions or share their feedback as well. You can use this form to ask questions or share feedback any time. Any feedback is appreciated!

Alright, let’s get into today’s questions..

Question from Karen (Owner) to Sai (In-house Ads Expert): Hi. In your email today Sai spoke about 4 Meta ad mistakes to avoid. I continue to hear we should test our ads. My question is how do you know exactly what is working in each test. For example, he says test your headline, body copy and photos separately. But how do you know that either worked in order to move on to testing other elements?

Thank you!

Sai’s Response: Sai wanted to demonstrate his response, hence recorded a loom video that you could watch here.

Question from Karen (Owner): How do I make sure my Black Friday email campaigns don’t end up in the promotions tab or spam folder?

My Response: Firstly, focus on deliverability. Use a recognized domain, avoid spammy words (Google this), and ensure your list is clean—no old or unengaged contacts. Also, warm up your domain if it’s new, and test subject lines. For Black Friday, keep it human, use personalized content, and don’t overwhelm your subscribers. Sending emails with a consistent “from” address helps too.

Additionally, if your deliverability score is too bad, using a tool such as Lemwarm should help.

Question from Mike (Head of Marketing): What’s one retention strategy I should be focusing on and could be implemented today?

My Response: SMS marketing. It’s direct, it’s personal, and the open rates are insane. You can engage customers with time-sensitive offers, post-purchase upsells, or exclusive deals. Just be careful not to overdo it—customers are protective of their phone space. A solid flow with well-timed, thoughtful messages can be game-changing.

Question from Olivia (E-commerce Manager): My Klaviyo flows are set up, but conversions aren’t great. What am I missing?

My Response: Two things could be off—your timing and your content. First, check if your flows are triggered at the right moment. Are they reaching customers when they’re most likely to convert? Next, look at your messaging. Personalization matters, but so does the tone. Try making it more conversational and value-driven. And don’t underestimate a solid A/B test on your subject lines.

Question from David (Founder): How important is user generated content for brands and how can I leverage the best wayy? I run a couple of brands

My Response: UGC still works for DTC brands. It’s authentic and resonates more with customers than polished branded content. Start by encouraging customers to share their experiences with your product—offer them incentives if needed. Feature this content in your ads, product pages, or social media, and it’ll build trust with potential buyers. People trust people more than they trust brands.

To reach out to influencers at scale, highly recommend a tool such as SARAL. Let them know DTC Daily sent you, to claim a 10% OFF, forever.

Question from Sarah (Performance Marketing Lead): What is a mistake I should avoid when I try scaling paid ads? I sometimes get worried if I’m making some mistake during the process, which could cost a lot of money..

My Response: Going too broad too fast. When you scale, stay focused on what’s working and incrementally increase your budget. Monitor closely because what worked with a smaller spend might not work when you pour in more cash. Also, make sure your creative and audience targeting are aligned. The moment your ads start feeling irrelevant, people tune out.

If anyone requires more help with paid ads, we have an in-house ad specialist—Sai. He won’t charge you a dime on his first call. Book a call with Sai if you need help running paid media ads.

Question from Jessica (CMO): I have a limited budget for influencer marketing. How do I choose the right influencers?

My Response: Don’t go for the biggest names. Micro-influencers often have more engaged audiences, and they’re less expensive. Look for influencers whose followers align with your target customers. Instead of focusing solely on follower count, check engagement rates (SARAL’s chrome extension is really helpful here) and the type of content they create. It should feel organic to your brand, not forced.

Question from Jason (Founder): How do I boost conversion rates on my product pages?

My Response: Two things: speed and trust. Make sure your page loads quickly because people will bounce if they’re waiting. Also, add social proof—reviews, testimonials, UGC—to build trust. Lastly, focus on clarity. Your product descriptions should answer questions and highlight benefits, not just features. A clear call-to-action (CTA) and simplified checkout go a long way too. Reduce friction as much as possible!

Question from Emily (Founder): What metrics should I prioritize when assessing the success of my email campaigns?

My Response: Beyond open and click-through rates, focus on conversions and revenue per recipient. Those are the numbers that actually matter. Also, check your unsubscribe rates—if they’re high, your messaging might be too aggressive. Lastly, segment your list and track performance for different customer groups; not all audiences respond the same way.

Alright folks, that’s it for today.

Have a great weekend ahead, and I’m assuming all of you are focused on prepping for Black Friday Cyber Monday - good luck!
